My name is Ben Simpson and I am a Washington D.C. native going into my senior year at the University of Richmond. I am very excited to be interning with IT4Causes this summer, helping to improve the processes for the business development pipeline. Bringing expertise in leadership studies and Latin American/Iberian studies, I am keen on the leadership dynamics within workplaces and the relations of coworkers that bring about the most success in organizations across all fields. My passion of Latin American affairs and relations with the United States along with recent experience studying in South America will provide a worldlier perspective that will prove valuable to our team here at IT4Causes.

In addition, I greatly value social justice and am dedicated to giving back to the community. I have volunteered with various organizations and public schools in Richmond and only hope to expand my knowledge and impact on non-profits of the Richmond area throughout the summer. In my free time, I always enjoy to stay active. I love to play sports (particularly soccer and basketball) and explore nature, whether it be hiking, biking, or kayaking on the James River.

I am a motivated individual looking forward to making the most of this opportunity, learning a lot, and creating strong connections in the Richmond community. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me at ben.simpson@it4causes.org!
